This started out a a Genesis rip-off from the Gabriel-era, then was transformed when I used a good chunk of it for a recording class project. Was also reading Nietzsche at the time, with whom I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with. More on that later.
And no, there is nothing wrong with your speakers for the first 0:05 or so. Just let it develop. . .
